Bruno Hofstetter, a graduate in electrical engineering, has worked for the Swiss Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS) for 25 years as an expert on toll systems. As systems architect, he was responsible for defining and implementing the second and third generations of the LSVA toll collection system, as well as opening the system to EETS and driving its development and rollout.

He has been involved in all related EU projects since the first Interoperability Directive in 2004, and has been committed to the development of EETS through the EETS Facilitation Platform since its establishment. As a long-time expert at a toll charger, he brings deep insider knowledge of the tolling industry, its current challenges, and its future development opportunities.
